WELCOME to my website. My name is Mary Swanson
and I am a qualified counsellor and therapist practising
in Northampton.



I work with individuals, couples and groups offering short or long term work or on an open-ended contract, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to fully enjoy it.

People choose to come to counselling for a variety of reasons:-

Dealing with unresolved emotional issues.

Feeling low, depressed or anxious.

Coping with death, bereavement or loss, such as divorce or redundancy.

Relationship problems.

Coping with obesity, over-eating or eating disorders.

Feeling stuck and overwhelmed or coming to terms with issues arising
from a painful childhood.

If you are struggling with any of these then counselling and psychotherapy can help you gain a new perspective. Counselling offers a safe and confidential environment to explore these issues with a non-judgemental, independent and empathic counsellor/therapist who can provide supportive help to enable you to make different choices leading to positive life changes.


I offer a 30 minute initial consultation. This session is free of charge and entirely without obligation. This will give us an opportunity to assess whether we wish to work together. This is not a counselling session but an opportunity to discuss how counselling might be helpful for you.

My therapy rooms are in Hunsbury, Northampton which is situated within easy reach of junctions 15 15a and 16 of the M1,the A45 and A43 and easily accessible from Stony Stratford, Milton Keynes, Towcester, Silverstone, Daventry and Wellingborough.
